PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) awareness
Presently, I am in so much pain that I can’t even chew, let alone leave my bed. PCOS sucks and one in ten women suffer from this condition. I was pretty lucky in the sense that 1) I’m not obese, 2) I’m not hirsute, and 3) I never had severe acne. Millions of women have all of these symptoms - as well as thinning hair (bingo), patchy skin, and really bad cramps. More seriously, PCOS leads to infertility. So the next time you see an overweight woman with acne, think about the personal heartache she may be going through.
